Carol Straker Dance Foundation
Carol Straker started the foundation in 1987, which is in Hackney, East London.
The Foundation is dedicated to the pursuit of education and artistic excellence,
and consists of the Dance School and the Education Outreach Unit and
Constellation Change Screen Dance Festival.

DANCE SCHOOL
The Carol Straker Dance School teaches Classical Ballet, Tap and Jazz dance.
Today there are some 200 students, ranging from 3 years old children to adults,
who attend the Foundation's Dance School each week for regular tuition during
term time.

The Foundation has since expanded into a second studio with pupils from all
over London, and now has 28 classes a week and seven teachers who cover
several styles of dance and related arts. The School has taken part in examinations,
music videos, demonstrations of dance, television programmes, talent shows.
All pupils of the School are encouraged to take part in the annual end of year
show, as an opportunity to present their developments and achievements to
their parents, families, the local community and visitors
